Characteristics

Native to the Caucasus, this species is one of the most commonly used for Christmas Trees, with abundant, attractive needle-shaped foliage which does not drop readily.

It is very frost-hardy and disease-resistant; it grows well in cool, moist climate conditions and is not recommended near the sea.
